Safe & Responsible DrivingStandalone practice
While you park, you dent a parked car. Its owner is nowhere in sight, and no one nearby knows who owns it. What does North Dakota law require?
Correct answer: Stop and leave a note on that car with your name, address, insurer and what happened.
Why
The law makes sure that the owner of a damaged vehicle can find the driver who caused the damage. Put the note where it cannot blow away, for example under a wiper blade. If the damage is $4,000 or more, you must also report the crash to the police, sheriff or highway patrol.
