Regulatory, Lane & Parking SignsStandalone practice
Ahead, a raised median island starts in the middle of a four-lane road. On the front of the island is a white sign with a black shape and an arrow that curves past its right side. You want to turn left into a driveway a short way past the start of the island. What should you do?

Correct answer: Stay to the right of the island and turn left only at a legal opening
Why
Keep-right signs are placed on medians, islands and other obstructions so that traffic in each direction stays on its own side. The manual uses the same idea in work zones: stripes on a barricade that slope down to the right tell you to pass on the right. If you miss your driveway, go on to the next opening or intersection and come back.
