When railway controls permit movement, what must you confirm before driving across the tracks?
Correct answer: That all tracks are clear and there is room beyond them.
Why
First obey all railway controls. Before entering, check every track and make sure there is enough space beyond the crossing for the whole vehicle to clear. Do not follow another vehicle onto the tracks unless you can get completely off them; a green road signal or moving queue does not guarantee an open exit.
