Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
You pass this round yellow sign with a black X and two letters R. Past the sign, you see a train that comes toward the crossing ahead. Where must you stop?

Correct answer: Between 15 and 50 feet from the nearest rail of the crossing
Why
The round yellow sign is an advance warning that you are near railroad tracks. Slow down, look and listen, and if your view down the tracks is blocked, drive very slowly until you can see. School buses, church buses and vehicles that carry explosives or flammable liquids must stop at every crossing, so do not pass them there unless the highway has more than one lane in your direction.
