Ana is 25. She has never held a driver license in any state, and she has taken no driver education course. She applies for her first Oregon driver license. Which tests will DMV give her?
Correct answer: A vision test, a knowledge test and a drive test
Why
Oregon law requires an eyesight test, a knowledge test on traffic laws and safe driving, and a drive test that shows that you can drive safely. DMV may waive the drive test for a new resident who surrenders an out-of-state license that is still valid or that expired within the past year, or for a person who completed an ODOT-approved driver education course within two years. At each test, you pay the test fee and show proof of your identity, birth date and home address.
