Passing target: 83.3% (15/18)
At an intersection, the lead car of a funeral procession went through on a green light. The procession cars have headlights, flashers and funeral flags. Your light is now green, and more procession cars are still crossing against their red light. What should you do?
Blue A faces a green signal while a hearse and two marked procession cars cross the intersection. Each has headlights, a funeral pennant and flash cues; their signal is red, and the card says the lead car entered on green.
Correct answer: Wait until the whole procession has passed, and then go.
Why
Pennsylvania gives funeral processions special privileges when every car shows lighted headlights, emergency flashers and a flag or other funeral sign; some cars also show flashing purple lights. At a stop sign, the lead car must stop completely first, and then the procession may follow. The procession must still yield to emergency vehicles.
