Which head-restraint position follows SAAQ’s adjustment guidance?
A close-up and a full seated view show an upright, belted adult and an adjustable head restraint in a parked vehicle, before adjustment.
Correct answer: Its middle is at eye or ear-top level, within 7 cm of your head.
Why
Adjust the head restraint before driving. SAAQ places its middle at eye level or the top of the ears, with no more than 7 cm between it and the back of the head. Check the setting after another person has used the seat. This helps limit backward head movement in a collision.
