A school-zone sign shows a reduced speed limit with specified times. How should you apply it?
Correct answer: Obey it at the times shown, and go slower if conditions require.
Why
Read the speed sign and any time or condition panel. Respect the reduced maximum when those conditions apply. Do not assume every school zone has the same limit, or that an empty-looking sidewalk cancels an active restriction. Watch for children and drive more slowly when the situation requires it.
