How should an adult wear a standard lap-and-shoulder seat belt?
Correct answer: Place the lap part on the pelvis, the shoulder part on the collarbone, snug.
Why
Sit properly and fasten the belt snugly. The lap part belongs across the pelvis, not the abdomen. The shoulder part crosses the collarbone and chest, not the neck, under the arm or behind the back. An airbag does not replace this protection.
