Regulatory, Lane & Parking SignsStandalone practice
You turn onto a ramp and see this sign: a red rectangle with the white words WRONG WAY. What does it tell you, and what should you do?

Correct answer: You face oncoming traffic; stop safely and turn around.
Why
WRONG WAY signs are often posted with DO NOT ENTER signs at exit ramps and on one-way streets. A wrong-way driver on a highway meets traffic head-on at high speed. Since June 2025, Rhode Island law also allows a larger fine and a license suspension for wrong-way driving on an interstate highway or its ramps.
