Your hands are correctly positioned on the wheel and you need a small steering correction. What grip does SGI recommend?
Correct answer: Keep your grip in the same places and turn the wheel smoothly.
Why
For a small correction, keep the established grip and turn the wheel smoothly. SGI starts with 9 and 3 or 8 and 4. Keeping the same grip helps you recognize when the front wheels return to straight. Larger steering movements can require hand-over-hand or hand-to-hand steering, so the small-correction instruction is not a ban on changing hand position when the manoeuvre needs it.
