You are about to use a manual-transmission car that is new to you. Where should you check its particular controls and operating instructions?
Correct answer: Read that vehicle's owner's manual and learn its controls first.
Why
Read the owner's manual for the particular vehicle. With the vehicle stationary, find and practise reaching the controls you may need, instead of discovering them in traffic. A manual transmission also needs practice with its gear pattern and pedal timing. Do not assume every feature works like the car you used before.
