Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
You drive on a two-lane, two-way road and pass this sign. After the change that the sign shows, where must you drive, and where may you cross to the other side?

Correct answer: On the roadway to the right of the median; cross it only at an opening
Why
Once the road is divided, oncoming traffic has its own roadway, and a median or barrier keeps the two directions apart. A driver who crosses the median at a random place can meet fast traffic that does not expect a vehicle there. At some intersections you must turn right and then make a U-turn at a median opening to go the other way.
