Regulatory, Lane & Parking SignsStandalone practice
You wait in a left-turn lane on a green arrow. You want to go back the way you came. This sign is posted at the intersection. Which statement is correct?

Correct answer: A left turn onto the cross street is allowed, but a U-turn is not
Why
After the left turn, you can go back by a legal route, for example around a block or with a turnabout in a safe place. Never turn around where other drivers cannot see you in time, such as on a curve or near the top of a hill. South Carolina law allows a U-turn only when it is safe and does not interfere with other traffic.
