Regulatory, Lane & Parking SignsStandalone practice
This sign hangs over the left lane as you come to an intersection. You are in that lane and want to go straight. What should you do?

Correct answer: Change lanes before the intersection; this lane is for left turns only.
Why
Read overhead signs, roadside signs and pavement arrows early, and change lanes before you reach the intersection. If you end up in the wrong lane, make the required turn and find another way back. SDCL 32-26-18.1 bans turning from the wrong lane.
