Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
At dusk on a county road, you see a yellow diamond-shaped sign far ahead. You cannot read its black symbol yet. What do the shape and color already tell you?
Correct answer: A possible hazard or a change in the road is ahead
Why
Warning signs give you time to adjust before you reach a curve, an intersection, a lane change, animals or a steep hill. Some warning signs, such as school and pedestrian crossing signs, are fluorescent yellow. A small yellow plate with a number below a warning sign gives the advised speed for that curve or place.
