Passing target: 80% (16/20)
Your car and another car collide at low speed on a busy two-lane road. Nobody appears hurt, and both cars can still be driven safely. What should you do?
Blue A and silver B are in the same travel lane after a low-speed crash on a two-lane road. A paved shoulder is visible. The card states that no one appears hurt and both cars can move.
Correct answer: Stop, move both cars from the travel lanes to the shoulder, and exchange information.
Why
Cars that stay in the travel lanes after a crash can be hit again, which causes more damage and injuries. Do not move the cars if someone is hurt or appears hurt; call 911, and leave an injured person where they are. Show your license, registration and insurance to the police officer, and let any injured person or property owner see your license.
