You are 17. You got your intermediate license 9 months ago and have no tickets or crashes. At 1:30 a.m. you want to drive home from a friend's house. What does the law require for this trip?
Correct answer: You may drive only with a parent, a guardian or a licensed driver aged 25 or older
Why
Late-night hours have a high crash risk for new drivers because of fatigue, darkness and impaired drivers on the road. The law also permits these hours for school, religious or work activities. The night and passenger limits end after 12 months with no crash and no traffic ticket, or at age 18.
