Safe & Responsible DrivingStandalone practice
After a party, you drive home with a bottle of wine that was opened and closed again with its cork. Your car has a trunk. Where must the bottle be while you drive on public roads?
Correct answer: In the trunk, away from the area where people sit
Why
The open container rule applies to any container that is opened, has a broken seal or is partly empty. Opened cannabis packages follow a similar rule: keep them in the trunk. Drinking alcohol or using cannabis in a vehicle on a public road is also an infraction, for passengers as well as the driver.
