What is the centre two-way left-turn lane for?
A and B occupy separated positions in a shared centre turn lane. Solid yellow lines are outside and broken yellow lines inside its boundaries.
Correct answer: Left turns by drivers from either direction
Why
A two-way left-turn lane is shared by vehicles preparing to turn left from either direction. You may cross the solid yellow boundary to enter it close to your turn. Check for oncoming vehicles using the same lane, signal and turn only when safe.
