TurnsStandalone practice
Outside an urban area, when is a U-turn prohibited on the approach to or near the crest of a hill?
Blue car A is near the crest of a hill. A separate road profile labels the crest and A’s position; the enlarged road view is not to scale.
Correct answer: When a driver within 150 metres either way cannot see you
Why
Near a hillcrest, do not make a U-turn if an approaching driver within 150 metres from either direction cannot see you. A clear view alone does not make a U-turn legal: obey signs and other location restrictions, and turn only without interfering with traffic.
