Two passenger cars reach an uncontrolled four-way intersection at about the same time. Which driver should yield?
Blue car A approaches an uncontrolled intersection from the west. Silver car B approaches from the south, on A’s right. They reach the intersection at approximately the same time, with neither already in it. There are no STOP, YIELD or traffic-signal controls.
Correct answer: The driver on the left should yield to the driver on the right.
Why
For approximately simultaneous arrivals at an uncontrolled four-way intersection, the driver on the left yields to the driver on the right. At an uncontrolled T intersection, the driver on the terminating road yields to traffic on the continuing road. Stop if needed to yield safely.
