Lanes, turns, passing and parkingStandalone practice
Your lane ends ahead. What should you do?
Blue A travels in a right-hand lane that tapers to an end. Silver C is behind and B is ahead in the continuing eastbound lane, leaving an illustrative gap. This is an ordinary lane ending, not a freeway entrance ramp.
Correct answer: Adjust speed, signal and move into a safe gap
Why
When your lane ends, look ahead early, check the continuing lane and adjust speed within the limit to line up with a safe gap. Signal and check the blind spot before moving over; do not force your way in.
