Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
A work-zone lane closure directs slow traffic to use both lanes until the merge point. How should drivers merge?
Slow vehicles occupy two lanes near cones where the right lane ends. Only learner A is blue; B and the other cars are silver.
Correct answer: Use both lanes to the merge point, then take turns entering the open lane.
Why
When directed to use a zipper merge, continue in both lanes to the designated merge point and alternate into the open lane. Leave room and cooperate. This does not give a merging driver permission to force another vehicle to brake or to ignore a flagger.
