Passing target: 80% (24/30)
When may a driver pass another vehicle on the right?
Blue A follows silver B on an unmarked stretch of pavement. The caption only states that they travel in the same direction.
Correct answer: Only where permitted and safe, without leaving the pavement.
Why
A right pass is permitted when the other vehicle is making or indicating a left turn, on an unobstructed road marked for at least two lanes in each direction, or on an unobstructed one-way road marked for at least two lanes. The pass must be safe and must not leave the pavement or main-traveled roadway. A paved shoulder or bicycle lane is not an extra passing lane.
