A car driver approaches a motorcyclist using a traffic lane. How much of that lane is the motorcyclist entitled to use?
Blue car A follows motorcyclist B in the right lane of a divided road with two lanes in this direction. The adjacent lane is clear.
Correct answer: The full single lane
Why
The motorcyclist is entitled to the full single lane. A car must not squeeze alongside in that lane. Connecticut separately allows up to two motorcycles abreast, and prohibits ordinary motorcycle travel between lanes. Give the rider space and do not assume a turn signal will cancel itself.
