Intersections & Right-of-WayStandalone practice
A stop sign has a clearly marked stop line. Where should your vehicle stop?
An intersection has a STOP sign and white stop line on the unoccupied lower approach. A silver car and a pedestrian are on the cross street.
Correct answer: Before the vehicle reaches the stop line
Why
At a STOP sign with a marked stop line, stop before that line. If no stop line exists, stop at the entrance to the through road and keep any crosswalk clear. Yield to traffic already in the intersection or close enough to be an immediate hazard. Move forward for a better view only after the required stop and when you can do so safely.
