Parking, Reversing & Roadside StopsStandalone practice
You park an ordinary key-operated car that has no qualifying remote-start system and leave it unattended. What is required?
Correct answer: Stop the engine, lock the ignition, take the key, set the brake.
Why
Stop the engine, lock the ignition, remove the key and effectively set the brake. On a grade, secure the wheel position as well. Delaware has a separate exception for a qualifying remote-start system that cannot be driven without the key present; it does not apply to this car.
