Two vehicles enter an ordinary four-way uncontrolled intersection at the same time. Neither road is a state-maintained or through highway, both are paved, and no officer directs traffic. Which driver yields?
Blue car A approaches an uncontrolled intersection from the west. Silver car B approaches from the south, on A’s right. They reach the intersection at approximately the same time, with neither already in it. There are no STOP, YIELD or traffic-signal controls.
Correct answer: The driver on the left yields to the vehicle on the right.
Why
At an uncontrolled intersection, a driver must yield to a vehicle already there and, for approximately simultaneous arrivals, the driver on the left yields to the right.
