Your rear wheels slide to the right in a skid. Which way should you steer?
A blue sedan is yawed slightly toward the upper right on a wet two-way road, with its rear displaced toward the near side.
Correct answer: Gently to the right, toward the skid
Why
Ease off the accelerator and steer gently to the right, toward the rear-wheel slide, to help bring the vehicle back into line. Avoid sudden braking and large steering corrections. As traction returns, straighten the wheels so you do not create another skid.
