Parking, Reversing & Roadside StopsStandalone practice
You park uphill on the right side of a road that has no curb. How should you set the front wheels?
Car A faces uphill on a rural road with no curb. It is parked on the right shoulder, outside the travelled roadway. The front wheels have not yet been set.
Correct answer: Turn them toward the right road edge
Why
Without a curb, turn the front wheels toward the road edge so a roll is directed away from traffic. Set the parking brake and secure the transmission in the proper position. The uphill-with-a-curb wheel direction is different.
