Parking, Reversing & Roadside StopsStandalone practice
You park uphill at the right-hand curb. How should you position the front wheels?
Car A faces uphill with the curb on its right. The small road-profile diagram shows the slope. The car is shown before its front wheels are set for parking.
Correct answer: Turned sharply away from the curb
Why
Turn the wheels sharply away from the curb and secure the car with the parking brake and the correct transmission position. If it rolls backward, the curb can stop the wheel. On an uphill road without a curb, turn toward the road edge instead.
