When must Illinois vehicles ordinarily display lighted headlights?
Correct answer: Sunset to sunrise, and in poor weather or visibility.
Why
Use headlights from sunset to sunrise, when weather requires windshield wipers, and whenever poor light or weather keeps people and vehicles from being clearly visible 1,000 feet away. Use the required front and rear lighting; parking lamps alone are not a substitute for headlights.
