Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
What must a driver confirm before moving from one marked lane to another?
Blue car A faces east in the right lane. Silver car B occupies the neighboring left lane beside A’s rear quarter. Both cars face the same direction.
Correct answer: That the move is safe, after checking mirrors and blind spots.
Why
Change only one lane at a time and recheck before another move. Look for a driver in a farther lane who may be moving toward the same gap. Mirrors, a signal and a blind-spot check are needed for each separate lane change.
