You are not on official business. A fire vehicle is traveling in response to a fire alarm. How close may you follow it?
Correct answer: No closer than 500 feet.
Why
A vehicle not on official business must not follow fire apparatus responding to a fire alarm closer than 500 feet. The same section also prohibits stopping within 500 feet of fire apparatus stopped in answer to an alarm. Giving way to the emergency vehicle does not permit following closely behind it.
