Why should a driver avoid cutting closely in front of a large truck?
Correct answer: The truck needs much more distance to stop, and the lane change removes that space.
Why
A large truck needs substantial stopping room. Do not cut into the space directly in front of it. When returning after a pass, see the truck’s entire front in your rearview mirror and leave ample clearance; merely clearing its cab does not give the truck a safe stopping cushion.
