Passing target: 80% (32/40)
You park on a hill on the right side of the road where there is no curb. Which way should the front wheels point?
A side inset shows a hill. The blue car is parked beside the right road edge on a gravel shoulder, with no curb. The question gives no final front-wheel direction.
Correct answer: Toward the road edge, away from the travel lane.
Why
Without a curb, turn the front wheels toward the side of the road and set the parking brake. Secure the transmission and other controls according to the vehicle instructions. With a curb, uphill and downhill wheel positions differ; do not use the uphill-with-curb rule when there is no curb.
