Weather, Visibility & EmergenciesStandalone practice
Fog becomes so thick that you can barely see the roadway. What does the handbook advise?
Correct answer: Pull safely off the road, use your flashers and wait for it to lift
Why
If you can barely see, find a safe way off the road, stop and use emergency flashers while waiting for visibility to improve. Do not stop in the moving traffic lane if you can safely get clear of it. When visibility permits continued travel, reduce speed and use low beams so you can stop within what you can see.
