Passing target: 80% (32/40)
With both streets one-way and the receiving lane clear, where should an ordinary left turn begin and end?
Two one-way streets meet at a junction, with ordinary directional arrows and a red traffic signal. The question has no car or selected route.
Correct answer: From the left-curb lane into the left-curb lane.
Why
Approach from the lane nearest the left curb and turn into the nearest left-hand lane. MPI describes an exception when that lane is blocked within 30 metres of the intersection. At a red light between two one-way streets, first stop and yield to pedestrians and other traffic; turn only if safe and no traffic-control device prohibits it.
