Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
How should you prepare to turn left into a driveway across opposing traffic?
Car A is on a two-way road beside a driveway across the double yellow centre lines.
Correct answer: Signal, position in your own lane and wait for a safe gap.
Why
Signal and move into the proper lane before turning into a driveway. Wait on your own side until the path across traffic and any sidewalk is safe. A necessary left turn into a private road or driveway may cross a solid line with caution; that does not permit travelling along the opposing lane.
