Parking, Reversing & Roadside StopsStandalone practice
You want to park near a railroad crossing, with no officer or traffic-control device directing otherwise. What is the minimum ordinary parking clearance from the nearest rail?
Correct answer: 50 feet.
Why
Do not park within 50 feet of the nearest rail of a railroad crossing under the ordinary rule. This is different from temporarily stopping 15 to 50 feet away when an active crossing requires a stop. A required crossing stop does not make the same spot a lawful parking place.
