How should a driver treat a motorcycle traveling in a traffic lane?
Blue car A follows motorcyclist B in the right lane of a divided road with two lanes in this direction. The adjacent lane is clear.
Correct answer: Allow it the full lane space it needs.
Why
Give a motorcycle the full lane width and enough space to maneuver safely. Do not treat the rider’s position near one side as permission to crowd alongside. Check mirrors and blind spots before moving lanes, and leave a safe gap before returning ahead.
