Where should a properly adjusted lap-shoulder belt sit?
Correct answer: The lap portion low on the hips and the shoulder portion across mid-chest.
Why
Position the lap portion low across the hips, below the stomach. The shoulder portion should cross the middle of the chest, away from the neck. Keep it in its intended path rather than behind your back or under your arm. Airbags do not replace the belt.
