Traffic Signals & Road MarkingsStandalone practice
You face a steady red arrow for a right turn. You have stopped correctly, no traffic-control device prohibits the turn, and the crossing and traffic are clear. What does Michigan’s rule permit?
Correct answer: A cautious right turn after yielding as required.
Why
Michigan applies red and yellow arrow indications to the indicated movement in the same way as the corresponding circular indication. After the required stop, a right turn may be made unless a traffic-control device prohibits it. Yield to pedestrians, bicyclists and other lawful traffic. A red arrow is not permission to roll through.
