After a crash repair, you check the lights on the back of your car. Which setup meets Minnesota's rules for an ordinary passenger car?
Correct answer: Red taillights, red brake lights, and a white light on the rear license plate
Why
Red at the back of a vehicle tells other drivers that they are behind it, and the brake lights warn them when you slow down. Blue lights are kept for snowplows, road maintenance equipment and emergency vehicles, so that drivers can pick them out at once. Now and then, ask a helper to watch while you check that the taillights, brake lights, turn signals and plate light all work.
