Regulatory, Lane & Parking SignsStandalone practice
You want to go straight through the next intersection. The sign over the left lane shows only a curved left arrow. The sign over the right lane shows a straight arrow and a right arrow. Which lane should you use?
Two official white lane signs: the left sign has a curved left arrow and ONLY; the right sign has a straight arrow with a branch to the right.
Correct answer: The right lane, because the left lane is only for left turns
Why
Lane-use signs give each lane the movements that it allows. If you are in a lane marked for a turn only, you must make that turn. Choose your lane early, because a late lane change near the intersection can cause a crash with drivers who are already in that lane.
