Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
Two lanes are marked for left turns. You are in the turn lane nearest the center, and a car turns beside you from the other turn lane. How should you make the turn?
A is in the inner of two marked left-turn lanes and B is alongside in the outer lane. No guide or turn route links the approach lanes to the receiving lanes.
Correct answer: Stay in your own path, and end in the lane that lines up with it
Why
In a double turn, two cars turn side by side, so there is little space between them. If one driver drifts, the cars can sideswipe. The same rule applies to double right-turn lanes.
