Passing target: 80% (24/30)
You come to a single-lane roundabout. A YIELD sign is at your entry. A car that is already in the roundabout comes toward your entry from your left. What should you do?
A approaches the YIELD-controlled entry of a single-lane roundabout. B is already circulating toward the entry from A’s left; no entry route is selected.
Correct answer: Slow down, let that car pass, and then enter when there is a safe gap
Why
Roundabouts are designed to make traffic flow better and to be safer than normal four-way stops. As you approach, slow down, choose your lane on a multi-lane roundabout, and yield to pedestrians and bicyclists who cross. Inside the roundabout, drive counterclockwise and do not stop, pass or change lanes.
