Traffic Signals & Road MarkingsStandalone practice
For an ordinary pass of another motor vehicle, what restriction do double solid yellow center lines show?
Blue A and silver B face opposite directions across two continuous yellow center lines.
Correct answer: Drivers in both directions must not cross the lines to pass.
Why
Double solid yellow lines mark no passing for ordinary motor-vehicle overtaking. Mississippi separately allows passing a same-direction bicycle in a no-passing zone only when safe; keep at least three feet until safely past. Never treat the bicycle exception as permission to force oncoming traffic aside.
