Passing target: 24/30 correct (TLA practice target)
What must you do before entering a roundabout?
A waits at a roundabout entrance while B is already in the circle. The junction has a raised center, splitter islands, yield markings and circulating lane lines.
Correct answer: Slow down, yield to traffic in the circle, and enter counterclockwise.
Why
Entering traffic yields to vehicles already in the circle and joins the counterclockwise flow only when safe. Choose the appropriate entry lane and watch the circulating vehicles before the yield line. Entering into an occupied gap forces abrupt braking and can create a side-impact collision.
